A big screen will be put up at the home of Limerick GAA for the All-Ireland Hurling final.

It will be put up at the Gaelic Grounds for those who can't get tickets for the showpiece event in Croke Park on August 19th.

Limerick will have the chance to win a first Liam McCarthy Cup since 1973 when they face Galway.

Speaking to Fully Charged with Ed this morning, Limerick City and County Mayor Councillor James Collins says it's to allow as many people as possible to enjoy the day:

"The atmosphere is already amazing and there's a big clammer for tickets so we thought it was the right thing to do to put on a free family friendly event at the Gaelic Grounds, for people who cant get tickets or who might choose to stay and watch the match here in Limerick."
