Irish Big Brother fans first to play new mobile game

Big Brother: The Game will be available from today on the App Store and Google Play Store.

Players can become virtual housemates, experiencing life as a Big Brother contestant.

They interact with other real-life housemates and must make choices in order to remain in the house.

Big Brother owners, Endemol Shine Group, first announced the game earlier this month.

Irish game studio 9th Impact has developed the new game, which will be launched around the world at a later date.

"Before launching the game globally, we needed to test everything with a limited number of players, so we decided to run a mini-competition in a single territory," said Head of Development Dr. Finn Krewer.

"We picked Ireland because there’s never been an Irish series of Big Brother before and we thought it was a chance to make up for that."

Big Brother The Game has 2 modes – Housemate and Spectator.

The game is free to download and the Spectator mode is free with optional purchases.

To become a Housemate the player must use a Token to enter the House which is an in-app purchase.

It even has a Diary Room!

The Ireland season of the game will run until July 10th when the winner will receive a €5,000 cash prize.

All Irish players will be able to take part in the global season when it launches, which has a life-changing amount of money as a prize.
