A row over beef prices between farmers and factories is ongoing

A row between farmers and factories could see restaurants facing a beef shortage.

Half of restaurants in the country won't have it on their menus next week if protests at factories don't end soon.

That's according to the Restaurants Association of Ireland which says steak houses in particular are facing a serious financial hit.

Some restaurants have bulk bought beef in anticipation of the dispute worsening.
