The figure is expected to grow day on day.
Around 700 young people fleeing Ukraine have so far registered with schools in Ireland.
The Minister for Education expects the true figure to be much higher, as more arrive each day.
Reporter Emma Tyrell spoke to 14 and 15 year-olds Rostik and Anastasia from Ukraine.
They have arrived in the country and are attending Trinity Comprehensive in Ballymun in Dublin.
"I like the school, it's so nice, it's pretty better than in Ukraine. I like it," Rostik said.
"The people are so grateful and the teachers are so good," Anastasia added.

Minister Norma Foley says they're setting up regional teams to help refugees link up with Irish schools.
"It's a focal point if you like for Ukrainian families or their advocates to source places," she said.
"(It's) if the immediate school to them isn't in a position to provide a school place for them."
She says she hasn't ruled out prefabs to accommodate extra children arriving into the system.
Minister Foley says they're working to allow Ukrainian teachers to teach here also.
