Donald Trump's administration suffered a major blow last night, after the court of appeal failed to reinstate the travel ban executive order, which he signed during his first week in office.

The order blocked people from 7, majority Muslim countries, from travelling to the United States for 90 days until the government could come up with a better vetting process.

Just days after it was introduced the acting Attorney General and a number of other high profiled politicians called the bill 'un-American'.

Last night, a panel of three judges in San Francisco failed to see the benefits of the order and blocked it from being reintroduced. The case will now move to the Supreme Court, which could cause more tension in an already divided Washington.

However, some judges are doubtful that Trump would be successful in anther appeal. Staying true to his character, the US President took to twitter last night to tell his followers that he would not leave the issue down.

CNN have been following the story all night.
