Former Ireland international Alan Quinlan believes Sean O'Brien was right to raise concerns about the Lions tour to New Zealand.
The Leinster and Ireland back-row believes the Lions should have won the series against the All Blacks over the Summer, but was critical of coaching methods.
Speaking to , the Carlow man said: "To be honest with you I’d be pretty critical of it. I think we probably should have won the tour and we probably should have won it comfortably enough.
"I think there’s a lot of learning to take from the tour in terms of the coaching setup as well and from a player's point of view in terms how we dealt with things, but it’s a weird one I suppose, drawing a series"
O'Brien's comments drew criticism from Lions Chief Executive John Feehan, while it's also reported head coach Warren Gatland has been in touch with the flanker to seek a meeting regarding his concerns

Former Munster and Ireland international Alan Quinlan had his say on the comments, saying he believes O'Brien was right to raise concerns about the preparation:
"Modern day players, and I'd be the same if I was there, they demand detail from the coaches and you've got to give them detail and you've got to give them game plans.
"I think from an Irish point of view, that's what Joe Schmidt gives the Irish players and that's what makes them so successful in the teams he's worked with."
