Social Distancing Guidelines Have Not Changed

Meanwhile Taoiseach Leo Varadkar says the social distancing advice has not changed.

Members of cabinet yesterday held discussions about changing it from two metres to one.

World Health Organisation advice says one metre, or three feet is enough.

The WHO says: "Maintain at least one metre (three feet) distance between yourself and others."

However guidance from the HSE say a space of two metres (6.5 feet) should be kept between people.

But Mr Varadkar confirmed earlier that there is no change to the advice.
