Taylor Swift's applied to trademark her voice and appearance in an apparent attempt to protect herself from artificial intelligence impersonations.

AI-generated versions of the singer have appeared recently - including a fake election ad in which she appeared to urge people to vote for Donald Trump.

Actor Matthew McConaughey's recently done the same.

Meanwhile, the singer been included in the New York Times top 30 living American songwriters list.
In an interview with the publication to mark the occasion, she lifted the lid on her writing process.
She told how her hit "Love Story" was the first time she wrote a song she loved immediately.

Although, she admitted she didn't care about the response to the track because she adored it.

The star says she wrote the hit when she was in a bad mood at the age of seventeen.

Meanwhile, she claims people "slept on" her Reputation album for six or seven years.
