From BUSKING to BUSING!
Jordan O’Keefe, who spent the last 2 years busking on Grafton Street, has returned — this time from the top of an open-top bus.
The Irish singer-songwriter performed live through Dublin city centre to celebrate the release of his deeply personal four-track EP, History.
The EP features his breakthrough single, If You Know, which has already amassed more than 200,000 Spotify streams, received over 1,500 national radio plays and been Shazamed more than 3,000 times, alongside three new songs documenting the defining moments that changed his life.

The bus travelled through some of Dublin’s best-known streets and landmarks, including St Stephen’s Green and O’Connell Street, as Jordan performed songs from the new EP live for people across the city.
For Jordan, the performance represented a full-circle moment. Before building an audience through radio, streaming and social media, he spent two years busking on Dublin’s streets, performing for passing crowds and developing his identity as an artist.
Jordan said: "Dublin gave me a place to perform when I was still trying to find my way as an artist. I spent two years busking on these streets, so bringing the music back into the city from the top of an open-top bus was a real full-circle moment. "
Picture Brian McEvoyJordan O'Keefe first came to national attention as a finalist on Britain's Got Talent, where his powerful performances won praise from both the judges and viewers across the UK and Ireland, and where he got to Duet with Ed Sheeran.
Behind the music, however, Jordan was fighting a very different battle. He spent almost 10 years living with addiction, a period that forms the foundation of the songs on his new EP, History. After turning his life around, Jordan celebrated three years sober on Sunday, 2 August 2026 - a milestone he describes as one of the proudest achievements of his life.
The open-top bus performance marked the launch of History, a four-track EP telling the true story of how addiction almost cost Jordan everything - and how love, family and hope gave him a second chance.
Picture Brian McEvoyEverything changed in August 2014, when Jordan met Myllena, a young Brazilian woman who was carrying struggles of her own after becoming a mother. "I thought she was saving me, but over the years I’ve realised that we actually saved each other." More than eleven years later, Jordan and Myllena are married and raising three children together. Their journey has not always been easy, but together they have faced his addiction, mental-health struggles and many of life’s challenges.
The story reaches its conclusion with the title track, History, a song reflecting on the life Jordan and Myllena have built together and the extraordinary journey that brought them there.
Jordan added: "These songs are my life. They tell the story of where I was, the people who refused to give up on me and the family I have today. Taking them through Dublin and performing them on the same streets where I spent years busking is something I’ll never forget."
