Adele's second album 21 has become the best-selling female album of all time.
The album has now overtaken Whitney Houston’s 1992 album The Bodyguard which included hits like - I Will Always Love You, I Have Nothing, I'm Every Woman and Run To You.
The 2011 album was composed in the aftermath of the singer's separation from her then partner and including hits like - Rumour Has It, Someone Like You, Set Fire To The Rain and Rolling In The Deep.
According to the Sun, Adele's album has generated a staggering 56.375 million in sale figures, surpassing the record held by Whitney, who had sales of 56.372 million.
The figures come from CSPC, who compare albums, singles, streams and downloads to create equivalent album sales figures.
Adele's not even on the clock and she's still breaking records!
