"In West Philadelphia, born and raised, on the playground....."

Will Smith will be on this Friday's Graham Norton Show (22nd) and he has had his say on the rumours surrounding a 'Fresh Prince of Bel Air' reunion.

Speaking to Norton, the 49 year old actor said, "man, I’d have to be Uncle Phil in that one now I’m nearly 50!”

Unbelievably, Will Smith is now older than the late James Avery was when he played Uncle Phil at the start of the series.

Avery, who played Uncle Phil for 148 episodes died on New Year's Eve 2013.

Smith also admits that he finds the show very hard to watch.

“It was my very first role and I was very, very focused on being successful so I learnt the whole script and everyone else’s lines."

"If you watch the first four or five episodes you can see I'm mouthing other people's lines. It's terrible and I can't bear to watch it."

A few months ago, DJ Jazzy Jeff hinted at a reunion and Smith is a fan of the idea.

"There have been talks with people about doing something. I think it would be cool if they did it and go down memory lane again. It's a blessing to be part of something that people still hold in high regard. You can't beat that."

He's been on the couch with Graham Norton a few times, but do we even need an excuse to watch this one again?
