Lionsgate have released the first official trailer for 'Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping'.
The film adaptation is based on Suzanne Collins novel of the same name and follows a young Haymitch Abernathy (played in the original films by Woody Harrelson) as he becomes the winner of the 50th annual Hunger Games.
The film will be based on the Hunger Games’ second Quarter Quell, which takes place every 25 years, and is set 24 years before the events of the Hunger Games trilogy.
Each district must send twice the number of tributes into the games to fight to the death, meaning that 48 tributes compete to become a victor.
Alongside Joseph Zada as Haymitch, Whitney Peak, Ben Wang, Molly McCann, Iona Bell and Percy Daggs IV are set to star as newcomers.
Taking on pre-existing roles, include big names like Elle Fanning as Effie Trinket, Ralph Fiennes as President Coriolanus Snow, Kieran Culkin as Caesar Flickerman, and Jesse Plemons as Plutarch Heavensbee.
Kelvin Harrison Jr., Glenn Close, Maya Hawke, Mckenna Grace, and Billy Porter are also joining the stellar cast.
