Marvel star Aaron Taylor-Johnson has reportedly been offered a contract to play James Bond in the franchises next installment.

The 33-year-old Kick Ass actor got his start playing Robbie - a hunky bass player - in the teenage flick Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging.

He quickly rose to fame and went on to grab parts in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Outlaw King, Tenet and Bullet Train.

A source told The Sun: 'Bond is Aaron’s job, should he wish to accept it. The formal offer is on the table and they are waiting to hear back.'

Should Aaron accept this latest mission, production is said to start filming later this year.

The news came after earlier speculation the British star had impressed at a round of secret auditions in 2022. He was said to have bowled over producer Barbara Broccoli so much so that he had already filmed the opening Gunbarrel sequence.
