Red Bull Dance Your Style kicked off in Limerick today, with the Milk Market hosting the opening qualifier of the 2026 season during the Riverfest weekend. An electric crowd set the tone for a full day of high-intensity, crowd-judged battles, as dancers competed for a place in the National Final.
After a day of open qualifiers, Zak Lynch (Dublin) was crowned winner of the Limerick qualifier, while Nathan Dam (Dublin), Georgia Kennedy (Waterford) and Annabel Efe (Limerick) also secured their spots at the national final, set to take place at the National Stadium in Dublin on July 18.
The competition saw dancers go head-to-head in one-on-one battles to music selected on the spot, with the crowd deciding who goes through. From hip-hop to house, locking to popping, dancers had to bring both skill and personality to win over the audience.
Following the preliminary rounds, the Top 16 dancers were selected before the competition moved to knockout battles, with four dancers ultimately advancing to the National Final.
These four successful dancers now join the lineup for July’s final, where 16 competitors will battle for the title of Ireland’s national champion and the chance to represent Ireland at the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final in Zurich, Switzerland on October 24th.
The focus now shifts to Dublin on June 20th where the second qualifier will take place at Dicey’s Garden, with dancers going head-to-head for a place among those at the National Final.
