Don't deny it all of us girls love to steal the fella's jumpers and hoodies for yourself. SO COSY!

It smells of him and is just so nice to sleep in, go to the shops in or even live in for a week.

We know he hates it but still, but he just has to accept he's never getting it back.

Now we have science behind us.

According to research done by the University of British Columbia's psychology department found that you can reduce your stress levels by smelling your partner's clothes.

The smell of the person you love can also help those who are suffering from loneliness and anxiety.

Published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychologythe study tested 96 women who were in a relationship with someone from the opposite sex.

They asked the men to wear a hoodie for 24 hours with just their natural scent soaking into the fabric. - That sound disgusting but hear us out.

Then the women were asked to smell three hoodies at random. One belonging to their bae, another with a neutral scent of new clothing and other belonging to a complete stranger.

The women were also asked to do stressful daily tasks as part of the research.

These tasks included a mock job interview and a maths test.

I mean we're stressed just thinking about them.

They found that the women who sniffed their partners were significantly less stressed and those who sniffed the other clothing were more stressed.

So there you have it. Show this to your boyfriend next time he complains.
