Inclusive Barbie Dolls Will Have Wheelchairs and Prosthetic Limbs

It's a Barbie world for everyone now.

Barbie is celebrating 60 years this year and celebrate the makers of the popular doll have now revealed a new line of inclusive dolls.

Mattel announced that they are expanding their fashionista range of dolls to include a doll in a wheelchair, and another with a prosthetic limb.

The company said that a doll with a wheelchair has been one of their most requested dolls ever.

Sharing the news on the Barbie Instagram they wrote;

Over the years, the #Barbie #Fashionistas line has evolved to be more reflective of the world girls see around them. We’re excited to expand our offerings as the most diverse and inclusive doll line in the world. Shop the new Fashionistas this Fall! #Barbie60

 

 

 

The new Barbies are set to be released in June to celebrate 60 years of the iconic toy.
