On March 1, 2018 prior to the red alert for Storm Emma, the 19 year old Jack O'Driscoll was out in the snow with friends in Mayfield. He was left paralysed after Storm Emma when he was injured, and became paralysed from the chest down.

His family have set him up a Go Fund Me page in the hopes to raise €200,000 for Jack given his new medical and living needs.

"His friends and family are hopeful that his progress will continue and allow him to begin the next stage of his rehabilitation at the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) in Dún Laoghaire."

The appeal has currently raised €50,030 of the €200,000 needed in the last 24 hours. Find out more, and donate here.
