Darkness into light happens this weekend and there is still time to register.

Each year the Darkness into light walk provides an opportunity for people to connect with their local community and to show their support for those who have been bereaved by suicide.

Since Darkness Into Light began, the charity has raised almost €20 million, which has enabled them to keep our doors and our 24/7 helpline open for people in crisis, free of charge.

Saturday, May 11.

Here all are all the South West locations.

Times vary in venues all around the world so check on your venue page for start time. It’s very early on Saturday morning wherever you are.

The big night we've all been working towards and that you have been supporting is nearly here, #DIL2019 in support of Pieta House, Preventing Suicide and Self Harm. For those of you registered and walking with us on the 11th, here's some key info you need to know: - The walk starts and ends in Thomond Park, pic of the route below. Entrance to Thomond Park is through the side of LIT. It starts at 4:15am on the 11th...that's late Friday night into Saturday morning :) - Parking will be available in LIT car park and stewards will be on hand to guide you. Additional street parking will be available and best to head the Caherdavin side of Thomond Park to avoid traffic jams around the route. - There will be tons of activities in Thomond Park, we have some special surprise performances (via Big Screen) and some very picturesque areas laid out for you to snap a pic, so aim to be there at least 45 mins beforehand and take the time to go into Thomond Park for this amazing experience. - As always there is a silent reflective KM along the route starting around St Mary Street. We would like you to shine your light for the KM and light up Limerick City - bring a DIL candle or simply switch on the torch on your mobile phone. - We love the sea of yellow so if you got a new DIL tshirt this year, or have one from a previous year pop it on over your jumper/jacket. - If you're snapping a few selfies and posting on social media - dont forget to tag us and use #DIL2019 or #thepowerofhope Once finished the walk back in Thomond Park there will be light refreshments available to you all - we hope you have a wonderful experience at DIL2019 and look forward to see you all there
