With another few weeks left of summer holidays, it can be hard to keep the kids entertained 24/7.

It's easy to send them to summer camp or sit them in front of the television, but why not head to the kitchen and get the whole family involved with one of these fun recipes.

The only thing more fun than baking cakes, is eating them afterwards!

3 Layer Rainbow Cake

Cook Time: 60 Minutes

Not only is this triple layered rainbow cake fun to make, it also looks and tastes AMAZING!

Make a personalised rainbow cake, by picking your childrens favourite colours and decorating the outside with any sweets of their choice. We found it works best with jellybeans, M&M's or buttons.

Check out the full recipe on Odlums.

Honey Flapjacks

Prep Time:  Less than 30 Mins
Cook Time: 10 - 30 Mins

These gooey, chewy and, above all, simple flapjacks are the perfect treat to make with the whole family.

Practice now with your little ones, as these fruit filled squares will make the perfect lunch box filler come September.

The quick & easy to follow recipe is on BBC's website.

Unicorn Cupcakes

Prep Time:  30 Mins
Cook Time: 20 Mins

With unicorns all the rage these days, why not make these simple, yet delicious, unicorn cupcakes.

These easy to make vanilla sponges with mesmerising rainbow-swirled buttercream can be topped of with chocolate buttons, sprinkles, Smarties or any other decoration of your choice.

Find the recipe here.

Chocolate Brownies

Cook Time: 40 - 50 Mins

Indulge in these chocolate brownies that kids can make for a birthday, or as a family treat.

The recipe includes chopped walnuts, but you could replace with M&M's, fudge or any other meltable treat of your choice.

Seen as the sun is still shining, have them as an after BBQ treat....

When your BBQ is cooling down, wrap brownies in double layer of tin foil and place on BBQ, turning every few minutes. When heated, remove from foil and serve warm with cream/ice cream.

Cookie Dough Pizza

Prep Time:  15 Mins
Cook Time: 25 Mins

A pizza, covered in sweets... What child wouldn't love it? It’s melty, gooey and wonderful.

This is a fun, quick and easy desert idea, for after dinner or any party you are throwing.

It’s a cookie dough pizza topped with.... Well, what ever you want!

The recipe uses buttons, marshmallows and strawberries, or you could let your child's imagination run free.

Use anything from sweets, to fruit, to hot fudge or caramel. The topping possibilities are endless.

Now, go bake some delicious treats, that even Mary Berry would be proud of!
