This is great news, bound to cheer you up on a Monday.
The BBC have confirmed that Blue Planet is getting a sequel.
And of course, the iconic David Attenborough will be presenting!
According to the BBC, Blue Planey 2 will look at new landscapes from methane volcanoes in the Gulf of Mexico and was filmed using submarines.
The Blue Planet was watched by over 12 million people in 2001. It won BAFTAs and Emmy awards for music and cinematography.
The sequel will be shown on BBC 1 later this year. We'll keep you posted once we find out a return date!
