We’re celebrating Foster's Friday and with that in mind we have decided to take a look at the best and most confusing Aussie sayings!

Celebrate Foster's by getting to grips with the Aussie Slang.  Ever wondered what is 'A Dengo's breakfast? or a 'Dunny rat?' Well you're about to find out. Take a look at some of the most used Aussie Slang below:

'A Dengo's Breakfast'

So when you hear 'Dengo' you automatically think of an animal.  Just to get this right a Dengo is not an animal. The phrase simply means to have no breakfast. Does this make sense to anyone?

'Cut Snake'

So if some is shouting 'Cut Snake' at you in Australia you need to turn on your heals and run. This phrase means that person is very angry and you need to get out of there.

'Sparrows Fart'

Taken literally this means a sparrow farting but in Australia this means something completely different. If you hear this phrase don't get offended it just means Dawn or early morning. Where they came up with that on we'll never know!!

'Dunny Rat'

This is not a type of rat in once sense but is in another. If someone in Ireland is cunning we call them sly and maybe sometimes a rat. In Australia they simply put Dunny in-front of rat for more emphasis. So, if you hear someone is a Dunny rat stay well clear.

'London to a Brick'

Where this phrase comes from we don't know but it means to be certain about something, it goes stronger than certainty it means to be absolutely certain!!
