She's learned to love herself now.

Liberty Poole has said that movie night in the Love Island villa was "so hard" for her, as it made her confront how she felt about herself

At the time, Liberty was coupled up with Jake in the villa. A clip was shown to all the islanders of Jake confessing he wasn't attracted to Lib enough to "want to rip her clothes off."

Liberty found the comment hard to hear, especially as she "never felt good enough" about herself when she was entering the villa.

Opening up about the experience, Liberty said she she had "always been this confident, outgoing person on the outside" but that wasn't how she felt internally.

"I was masking a lot of insecurities on the inside of just never feeling pretty enough, never feeling good enough.

"You [can] see in movie night, that hit so hard for me. I think I  said something along the lines of 'I always lead with my personality because I know I'm not a super model.

"That for me at that moment in time was like my coping mechanism, to always lead with my personality and to just forget that my looks were even a thing."

Why had Liberty got low self-esteem?

Growing up, Liberty had felt pressure to look like the women she saw on Instagram. Her aim with her own account is to allow people to scroll online without feeling that pressure.

"I've always said that I wanted people to come on my Instagram and feel motivated, feel inspired, feel like it's a safe space.

"I don't want you guys to ever come on my Instagram and start comparing yourself or thinking 'oh, look at her life,' or 'look at what she looks like.' I just don't want that.

"I think it's important to appreciate you, all of you, every part of you, your body, how you look. I definitely feel like I'm more in that headspace now."

While Liberty confessed that her insecurities still exist, she suggested we need to accept them.

"Don't get me wrong, I'm not perfect. I'm still a normal human. I still have insecurities, but it's about accepting that and owning yourself and loving yourself, and trying to rise above it.

"We should be able to be confident about ourselves."
