We knew it anyway, didn't we?

James Corden has admit he was rude to staff at the New York restaurant, Balthazar.

It comes a week after the owner of the restaurant, Keith McNally, called James "the most abusive customer" they had served in 25 years, dubbing him "a tiny cretin of a man." Keith declared James was banned from their restaurant.

One incident that Keith shared on Instagram involved James's wife ordering an egg yolk omelette with salad.

When they received an omelette that contained a tiny amount of egg white with the egg yolk, they sent it back to be remade. But when the fresh omelette returned, it was served with chips instead of salad.

At this point, Keith alleges James lost his temper, writing, "That's when James Corden began yelling like crazy to the server: 'You can't do your job! You can't do your job! Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelette myself!'"

The omelette with fries was returned and after that, "everything was fine" according to Keith.

Keith later said that James had apologised privately although days later, James publicly told the Times "I haven't done anything wrong, on any level."

However, James has now explained that he had reacted negatively to the servers about his wife's dish because she's allergic to egg whites.

During the Late Late Show, he admit, "I didn’t shout or scream. I didn’t get up out of my seat. I didn’t call anyone names or use derogatory language.

"I have been walking around thinking that I hadn’t done anything wrong, right? But the truth is I have. I made a rude comment and it was wrong."

"It was an unnecessary comment. It was ungracious to the server."

I wonder if he'll stay banned?
