Meghan And Harry Have Named The Royal Baby Archie

The royal baby has a name

It's been a busy day for Meghan, Harry and the new royal baby.

This morning we got our first glimpse of the newborn and this afternoon we got the name.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are pleased to announce they have named their first born child: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor This afternoon Their Royal Highnesses introduced Her Majesty The Queen to her eighth great-grandchild at Windsor Castle. Meghan gave birth to Archie on Monday morning.

He weighed 7lbs 3oz (3.2kg).

A besotted Harry confirmed the news to the press shortly after the birth.

This afternoon Meghan and Harry debuted Archie to the world at Windsor Castle.

The spoke briefly to journalists.
