Well this would have been out of this world!
Ed Sheeran was offered the opportunity to perform the "first gig in space," but turned it down.
Speaking with Scott Mills on BBC Radio 2 he revealed the thought of space: "terrifies me."
"I want to go to space when it’s like flying to France and 40,000 people have done it, and you can just book it online."

However, while others might jump at the opportunity to be the first artist to showcase their talents outside of the Earth’s atmosphere, (Cough Katy Perry Cough) Ed has no interest in being "a guinea pig for that, because it still is dangerous."
Ed who shares kids Lyra (5) and Jupiter (3) with wife Cherry Seaborn said: "There’s places on this planet that I haven’t been to. I’ve never been to Greenland - I would love to go to Greenland. There’s places on this planet I would far rather go to than space."
"I’m not going to risk that for a Guinness World Record, I’m not going to risk my kids not having a dad," he emphasized.
