Weather warnings ahead of Storm Abigail

Met Eireann have issued status orange and yellow weather alerts, with strong winds gusting up to 120km/h from tomorrow morning as Storm Abigail approaches Ireland.

Winds of up to 55km/hr and gusts of between 90 and 100km/h are expected to hit parts of Munster, Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan and Roscommon, with the yellow warning in place for these areas from 6am tomorrow morning. The orange alert covers Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo and Galway. Residents are being warned that the winds will be strongest in coastal ares.
