The jury at the Hillsborough Inquest has found that 96 Liverpool fans who died in the stadium in 1989 were unlawfully killed.
After hearing more than two years of evidence, the jury also concluded that the behaviour of Liverpool supporters on the day did not cause or contribute to the tragedy.
The families have been waiting 27 years for the decision.
The Hillsborough disaster was a human crush that caused the deaths of 96 people and injured 766 others, at a football match between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest at Hillsborough Stadium, Sheffield, on 15 April 1989.
After the tragedy, perimeter and lateral fencing was removed and many top stadiums in the UK were converted to all-seated.
