Contestants on X-Factor have been banned from performing You Me At Six songs as producers fear that the band’s songs are not well known enough.

Josh Franceschi, lead vocalist revealed to the Daily Star how many contestants previously on X-Factor wanted to cover their tracks including James Arthur.

He said: "They'd really wanted to do one of our songs. However, the producers won't allow rock songs to be performed unless it's by famous bands like AC/DC."
