In the early noughties, we were all about the gloss; so much so it might actually drip down onto our chin. Then we went overboard and soon grew tired of sticky lips, moving on to lipsticks, or back to lipsticks - we should be saying - which hadn't enjoyed popularity since back in the early 90s. Now, lipgloss is in the midst of a resurgence, but thankfully, the quality has come on so much in the intervening time, we no longer run the risk of sticking our smackers together forever more. What's more, these days lipglosses from the better brands have a much better pigment and payoff, meaning your look isn't wiped away the minute you go in for the shift. Here's three we're loving.
Inglot HD lip tints
We've written about these babies before but seriously, try 'em. The colour lasts all day. €22
MAC's Retro Matte collection is THE BEST. Matte glosses are always a winner because you get that extra depth of colour. We kind of love the vibrancy of this pink; perfect for festival season. €28
For something a little less expensive - but no less deadly - NYX are always our go-to brand. Their Intense Butter Gloss collection come in 12 gorgeous shades with a slight shimmery appearance. They're super hydrating and like the others above, they won't come off until you're ready to go bare. This one's perfect for a day at the office; Sorbet. €7.75 on Asos.
