Make a Move Festivals returns to Limerick for it’s 6th year from October 4th to October 8th 2017.
This unique city wide festival, with it’s roots in Hip Hop Culture will host a diverse program that will see over 30 artists and performers from Hip-Hop, Grime and Spoken Word backgrounds perform in a variety of Limerick venues.
Music takes center stage at the Make a Move showcase gig in 'Pharmacia' on Saturday October 7th, bringing the very best of Irish Hip-Hop to Limerick. Acts such as Dublin’s Mango and Mathman, Rebel Phoenix, Tipperary based Mentally Unfocused, and Limericks own Same D4ence will be tearing up the stage on the night.
This year Make a Move is delighted to host a three hour workshop in music production and DJing for women led by Gash Collective members ELLL and Aoife Nic Canna, and featuring DIELimerick’s resident Maedbh O’Connor.
In conjunction with Music Generation, there will be a Live Ableton and Production Workshop with IAMIAN, Mankyy and Moving Still.
A Poetry Jam will also take place on Saturday October 7th, in the afternoon at the Wickham Tap with spoken word artists Felispeaks, Sasha and other very special guests.
Two Irish produced documentaries get their first Limerick screening in the Belltable on Wednesday October 4th.
