Having an older brother is great...most of the time! They'll hit you to toughen you up but if someone else tries to hurt you, they'll have your back. These are just some of the struggles you might be able to relate to if you're lucky enough to have an older brother.

1. You Ask

Whether it was money for the shop or sweets before dinner, having an older brother meant that you were always the one who was tricked into asking your parents. 9 times out of 10, the answer came with a big long lecture and your brother would watch from a distance and laugh.

Meanwhile, you're not sure how the hell you got yourself into this mess!

2. I'll Give You A Go Next

They're not a fan of sharing...at all! You'd sit for hours begging them to let you have a go on the Playstation but he always found a way to skip your go! In the end, you'd just give up.

3. Pranks

You walk into your room, see a spider and scream the house down. Your brother rushes in to rescue you but before he saves the day he thinks it's a great idea to pretend to throw the spider at you. All in all, he makes a stressful situation even more stressful.

4. Lies. Lies Everywhere

Monsters under your bed, I've got your nose, a fiver is worth more than a tenner, I'll give you one bar for 3 nicer bars....sound familiar? After a while, you start to question everything he says.

5. Fights Over Nothing

He will pick a fight with you at least 19 times a day over the most ridiculous things! You got more ice cream than me or I refuse to sit in the middle, I'm the oldest. It was never too serious though and you always managed to move past it.

6. Nicknames

He came up with a new nickname to call you at least once a month. Whether you liked it or not!

7. Friendly Banter

Any opportunity that presented itself for him to make fun of you, he would take it. When you cut your hair, got new glasses or shoes that you thought were the business, he always found a way to bring you right back down to earth.

8. Feeling Like A Minion

Whether it was answering the phone, getting him a glass of water or bringing him the remote, he always treated you like his own personal minion.

9. Deception

Most of the time he got away with teasing you or hitting you because your parents thought he was so quiet!

10. The Moment You Realise He's Not All Bad

You're in school and some kid tries to mess with you! Before you can even respond your brother appears out of nowhere and puts them in their place. That's the moment you realise that if anyone ever tries to harm you, you can be sure that he''ll step in on your behalf.
