The new look Airtricity League of Ireland campaign begins this evening.

After a good pre-season, Limerick FC boss Pat Scully will be hoping that his team can make a winning start to their First Division title charge.

The Super Blues are at Terryland Park in Galway tonight to take on Mervue United (7:45).

The newly formed Cork City FORAS Co-Op begin life in the lower tier with a visit to Derry City,a nother side who were demoted by the FAI due to cash problems.

Elsewhere in the First Division Shelbourne host Monaghan United, while Wexford Youths travel to Waterford United.

The standout game of 4 in tonight’s Premier Division action is the meeting of defending champions Bohemians and newly promoted Sporting Fingal at Dalymount Park (7:35).

The other top flight encounters are; Dundalk at Bray Wanderers, Drogheda United hosting UCD and St. Pats entertaining Galway United at Richmond Park.
