Thousands of protesters turned out for the Raise the Roof Rally outside the Dáil this afternoon.
It was organised by a number of groups and coalitions including the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, Sinn Fein and The Union of Students in Ireland.
Protesters called for 'radical changes' to the government's housing policies.

Anthony Flynn, CEO of Inner City Helping Homeless, urged people to come along and show their support:
"We have students, we have guards, we have nurses, we have plumbers who can't afford rent and mortgage payments."
"We have individuals who are homeless right across the country we have over 4,000 children and we don't think this is been addressed at a national level by government."
"Today we're meeting at the Dáil for a national rally and were asking people to come out and support us."
We will be there today to and stand in solidarity with the thousands of people who are either homeless or living in fear of losing their home. Please join us!— Simon Communities (@SimonCommunity)
