Limerick, Kerry & Tipp Putting Down More Dogs Than Rest Of Country

Limerick City and County Council puts down puts down more than 3 times the number of dogs as the national average.

According to the Irish Times, 37% of dogs that are brought to the council-run shelter were euthanised in 2016.

The Council says it's working to reduce that figure.

Kerry were found to have the the next highest euthanasia rates 25.5%, with Tipperary just 1.1% behind them.
