As a nation, we love Tayto.

So much so, that we're willing to open a hotel in honour of the famous crisp.

Tayto say they're hoping to build a seven storey hotel on the Tayto Park.

They've applied to Meath County Council for planning permission for a 32,000 square metre hotel. The building will be made from wood to keep with the look and feel of the theme park and will in a parkland setting.

It's thought 150 jobs will be created during construction and 272 full and part time jobs when completed.
