5 Seconds of Summer teased new music last week and the moment fans have been waiting for two years for is finally here!

The Australian band dropped their first single, “Want You Back,” and the boys also announced a world tour.

“We have taken a lot of inspiration from bands like The Cars, The 1975, St. Lucia, and a massive influence sonically from the Ghost Stories album by Coldplay,” - Ashton Irwin

The new tune is definitely a departure from the boys’ early sound, which had a much more pop-punk vibe. But even though it’s different and more mature, it still sounds amazing.

“No matter where I go, I’m always gonna want you back / No matter how long you’re gone, I’m always gonna want you back,”

While the news of 5SOS’ new song is obviously exciting as it is, the guys are gonna be hitting the road in, like, a MONTH to embark on a 26-date world tour.

“Finally… It’s been 3 years since our last album and we are so ready to share new music with the world,”

The tour kicks off on March 20 in Stockholm, Sweden, and ends on June 6 in Sao Paolo, Brazil.
