Struggling for an idea for something fun to do on Wednesday or this weekend to celebrate Valentine’s day? Fear not!

We have some fun things for you to do.

First off, Dingle. The seaside town on the west coast of Kerry is only an hour outside Tralee and is an ideal spot for a weekend away or a day trip. There’s plenty to do including a boat trip out to spot the resident Dolphin ‘Fungie’ and if the weather ruins that well there’s always the aquarium to fall back on. There’s no place like Dingle on a fine day and the Slea Head coastal drive just outside of Dingle contains stunning views and hidden beaches that’ll make you fall in love with the Irish coast line once more.

The Cliffs of Moher on the Clare coastline is another gorgeous spot that would make a nice day trip with your other half. Scenic cliffs stretching 700 feet over the rugged Atlantic coast along with a nice filter might make for a class Instagram post of maybe even a new profile picture.

For those of you wanting to stay close to home or in the city, Limerick city has King John’s Castle to offer. This newly renovated 13th-century castle is now open for tours. Set along the river Shannon the castle also provides nice views of the city. Located on ‘King’s Island’ in the heart of medieval Limerick City. The stunning exhibition at King John’s Castle brings to life over 800 years of dramatic local history.

Going back to the Kingdom it was impossible to make this list and not include Killarney, It’s hard to narrow down a specific thing to do in the town means we just have to include the whole town. In terms of nature the Gap Of Dunloe and National Park are ideal spots for a nice romantic walk. There are plenty of historic sites to take in around the town along with the bustling night life. The high volume of tourists visiting all year round leave a fantastic atmosphere and you may even start to embrace the Irish in you!

Finally, if sightseeing and nature aren’t your thing well a trip to Limerick City for a spot of shopping might be on the cards. The crescent shopping centre alone is worth it but with the hundreds of shops around the city and the little hidden gems of coffee houses and restaurants down alleys left and right, Limerick City might be an ideal location to help express your love for one another.
