Gardái in Limerick have kickstarted an inquiry after the shooting of a man in the city last night.
The 25 year old was rushed to the Mid-Western Regional hospital in Limerick after suffering head & shoulder injuries during the attack, which took place near Thomond Park at around half ten.
It’s believed that the man was in a car being pursued by another in the Ballynanty area of the city.
The other car is believed to have boxed the first vehicle in and fired shots into car.
The area’s been sealed off and will be examined today.
