Grey's Anatomy fans have been clinging on to every bit hope that Cristina Yang will be returning to the show, and we have news that gives us a glimpse that there is light at the end of the tunnel!
When we thought the Cristina and Owen boat had sailed into a miserable sea of our tears, Kevin McKidd (Owen in "Real Life") had saved our souls by confirming in an interview that Sandra Oh hasn't ruled out a return!
Entertainment Tonight were the first receivers of the news and were told by McKidd that Cristina and Owen were his favourite couple on the show, and we completetly agree with his reasoning, "they were such a complex couple and really loved each other and were passionate. They really struggled through a lot.”
Apparently he speaks to his on screen previous wife "all the time", and she wasn't happy when Amelia filled in her wife position on the doctor drama!
“When my character got married to Amelia, she got kind of jealous and was like, ‘No, that’s not right!'" McKidd said. Which, surely, means that Cristina needs to come back and make things right. Oh's responded to this suggestion?.."Well maybe, maybe."
Kevin is on board with the fans, “I hope she will. I think it would be so much fun","It would open up so much again in the story and mix everything up. Owen, wherever he is in his life, would have incredible stories. She’s just such an amazing actor. I still miss her to this day.”
We still have hope!
