The writers of Deadpool have expressed interest in having Hugh Jackman on board for the sequel.
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are keen to have Jackman in the second movie. They've played with the idea that it could be a cameo role, rather than a Wolverine appearance.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Reese said 'I like that. Deadpool lives in a world where Hugh Jackman is out there. Maybe he could meet Hugh as Hugh.'
The sequel's final draft is said to be 'very close' to being submitted.
Reese revealed 'We're very close to a draft that we'll go off and shoot in a couple of months and we couldn't be more thrilled. We don't want to put the cart before the horse.'
There's no release date as of yet for Deadpool 2. Apparently the team behind the movie are more focused on making it the best it can be, before putting it out to the world.
For now we'll just have to enjoy the short that Ryan Reynolds posted last month. It first aired in cinemas, after the credits of Logan.
