In a now deleted tweet, Cadbury replied that it was “pronounced as crem”.
Twitter users were quick to comment on the controversial ruling.

A Cadbury spokeswoman said: "“Oooops! We have egg on our face. Creme Egg is of course pronounced Cream, the error has now been corrected on our twitter”
