He's used to playing sold-out gigs in arenas and stadiums around the world and is due to play for hundreds of thousands of fans when he plays a number of sold-out gigs across Ireland next year.

But now, someone is getting the chance to have Ed Sheeran perform in their own home.

It's all part of a huge global festival being organised by Amnesty International and Sofar Sounds and will see over 1,000 acts perform in 200 cities worldwide on September 20th.

Ed's gig will be in Washington DC while our very own Hozier is also part of the line-up and will play a secret gig in Dublin.

Fans will have the chance to watch the performances and donate to charity with all proceeds going to Amnesty to help fight the global refugee crisis.

The tickets are free but people are encouraged to donate.
