Billboard is reporting that musicians such as Halsey, Kelly Clarkson, Dua Lipa and more are set to wear white roses at the Grammys to show solidarity for the Time's Up.
This comes after many actors wore black dresses at the Golden Globes to show their support of the movement against sexual harassment.
The demonstration put together by group Voices in Entertainment --reps say they "choose the white rose because historically it stands for hope, peace, sympathy and resistance.” #TimesUP #GRAMMYs https://t.co/XM7gCTPRNe— Krystin Goodwin (@Krystingoodwin) January 25, 2018
Nearly all of my harassment experiences (as an adult) took place within the music industry. There was traction on an awareness campaign years ago, and I hope this brings it back to light. #timesup #grammys #wearawhiterose— Ashley Hart (@AshleyM_Hart) January 25, 2018
I’m going to wear a white rose-adorned suit in my living room while I watch the Grammys in support. https://t.co/SgCzzqE8et— Darren (@Darren_Gooden) January 25, 2018
I get the sentiment behind white roses. But a fashion statement means nothing when half the people who will attend the #GRAMMYs have worked with execs, producers, rappers & singers who are sexual predators (most of which are well-documented) & remain silent #TimesUp 🤷🏽♀️ pic.twitter.com/1rWYrHWyTd— Pusha Bi.
