Fans of Arctic Monkeys who are awaiting their sixth album, this news will make your day.
Bassist Nick O'Malley has reportedly given an update on the band's new album, and also revealed when fans can expect it.
Apart from the update that Matt Helders gave a fan last month at a gig in LA, and the odd Instagram from him where he's in studio, we haven't heard much from the lads about the upcoming record.
Matt had suggested that the new material could be expected before the year is out, but now according to Nick, it's next year.
Speaking to website For The Ride, the article claimed that "Nick found time for the track day before recording began on the eagerly anticipated sixth album, started at a secret location in September. The new album will be out next year because 'if it isn’t, we’ve got problems'."
Back in December last year, the lads reunited in Sheffield and began working on the album.
