WATCH: Ellen Receives Presidential Medal Of Freedom
It's too much!
Outgoing US president Barack Obama was almost as emotional as us while presenting the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Ellen DeGeneres. He gushed about her courage, having come out publicly almost 20 years ago. He said ‘It’s easy to forget now just how much courage was required.’
He quoted one of her jokes, saying "It's like Ellen says, 'We all want a tortilla chip that can support the weight of guacamole. Which really makes no sense to me, but I thought it would break the mood cause I was gettin' kinda choked up."
