The Dough Bros from Galway are business owners, pizza masters and now they’ve joined forced with #YouthEmpowered to urge young people across Ireland to register for free lifnd business skills training courses online at www.youthempowered.ie.

From small beginnings in a street food truck to becoming one of the most popular restaurants in Galway, Ronan and Eugene Greaney show what is possible if young people have self-belief and resilience. Although they faced many challenges along the way, the Dough Bros never stopped aiming high and now they have the success to show for it.

Now in its second year, the #YouthEmpowered programme  supports those aged 18 -30 across Ireland & Northern Ireland who are not in education, employment or training with the skills and confidence to make their goals and dreams a reality.

The digital hub provides fundamental life and business skills to young people across Ireland. Its courses include;

  • financial literacy
  • time management
  • project management
  • business, negotiation & sales skills

As part of the programme young people can also embark on self-development courses, to help them discover what career is the best fit for their personality and learn more about relationship and communication skills.

Ronan and Eugene Greaney said;

It’s taken us a fair few years to make Dough Bros the success it is today, and we still have more to go. Self-belief, perseverance and the support of others have been critical in getting us through all the ups and downs we’ve experienced on our journey to date. On the way home from our very first job, we crashed the van into a bridge and thought we’d put an end to the dream before it had even begun!

 “By partnering with the #YouthEmpowered programme, we want to show all young people what is possible if you have belief in yourself and take every challenge as an opportunity. We would call on young people looking for extra motivation, training and mentorship to register for the #YouthEmpowered Digital Hub today.”

The Dough Bros serves up a range of delicious pizzas every day from 12-10pm in their now permanent restaurant in the Cathedral Building on Middle Street, Galway.
