Congratulations to the nominees and winners of the IFTA Film & Drama Awards, hosted by the Irish Film & Television Academy in Dublin this evening. 
 
Industry guests were welcomed by Academy CEO Áine Moriarty, and Deirdre O’Kane MC’d the Event, at the Round Room of the Mansion House. Gabriel Byrne received the Irish Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by the President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins.  Ros Hubbard, legendary casting director, received the Spotlight Casting Director Award.  Jacob McCarthy (The Drummer and the Keeper) won the Irish Film Board’s Rising Star Award.
 
The show will be broadcast on RTÉ One on Saturday 17th February at 10.45pm.
