When the makers of Toblerone announced that they were altering the iconic shape of the Swiss chocolate, it sent the internet and chocolate lovers into a frenzy.

Now that the dust has settled we have come across a simplified recipe for you to try at home (the results don't look too pretty but we have been assured it tastes as good as the original).

All you need is:

  • 170g of your favourite milk chocolate
  • Handful of Almonds
  • Bar of nougat

You will need to cut one half of a cereal box into strips about 3cm wide and fold them into triangular shapes securing them with sellotape - these will act as your moulds.

  1. Simply break up your chocolate and melt.
  2. While the chocolate is melting finely chop up your almonds and use a scissors to break the nougat into chunks.
  3. Mix both well into the melted chocolate.
  4. Place moulds on a tray and place the mix into each mould.
  5. Place in a fridge/freezer to harden and enjoy.

You will be left with something that looks like the Frankenstein of Toblerones but it will be damn tasty!
