Wenger Defend Van Persie Sale


Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists the club were left with “no choice” but to sell Robin van Persie to Manchester United.

The Dutch striker is expected to undergo a medical today and finalise terms before completing his move.

Wenger said the additions of Oliver Giroud and Lukas Podolski have “offset” the departure of van Persie.

 

The Dutch international should complete his move to Manchester United today.
