Snoop Dogg to change name to Snoop Lion!

Snoop Dogg has reinvented himself as a reggae star and changed his name to SNOOP LION.

The move came after the former hip-hop musician embraced the religion of rastafarianism on a recent trip to Jamaica.

The cannabis-loving 40-year-old — real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr — said: “I want to bury Snoop Dogg and become Snoop Lion.

“I didn’t know that until I went to the temple where the High Priest asked me what my name was and I said, ‘Snoop Dogg’. He looked me in my eyes and said, ‘No more. You are the light — you are the lion’.”

The US ex-gangsta star, who also believes he is the reincarnation of Bob Marley, has recorded a reggae album on the island. One track is called No Guns Allowed.

The Lion of Judah is an important religious symbol for rastas.
